Default Final Drive Ratio for the S ?

Is there/was there any different final drive ratios used for the S model? There seems to be a higher ratio in my S than the N/A but I haven't pinned it down. In the S, it's turning 3700 rpm at 80 mph, 5th gear. Sound right?

S has a 3.889 R/P, same ratio as the N/A. Individual gearing is slightly different (taller) for 1-4, and shorter for 5th (early 944 N/As had a very tall 0.730 5th gear).

An S in 5th gear at 3700 rpm should be approx 84mph.
