question about fidanza flywhell for 944.
Hi everbody.
I have 944 1986 non turbo, I bought a fidanza flywheel for veltex miami, anyway fantastic product so light and good finish I was going to start in project when i found out this flywheel dosen't have the pin sensors , for speedreference sensors, or starter ring??? So t my question they are all come liket this ! so you have to thake the starter ring out of stock one and install back in the fidanza , seme with pins for reference sensor? any help experince with that same issue !

I bought one a NA 944 fidanza a year and half ago and it did come with the steel trigger set screw for the reference sensor. You should make a TDC mark though like the OE flywheels have when it comes time for T-belt changes.
I would highly reccomend getting the flywheel balanced with the pressure plate bolts. That steel set screw really throws them out of balance.
Here was my results:
--with trigger 2.76 grams at 4.3" radius with point at 263 degrees or about 6 lbs effective mass unbalance at 5800 RPM. WAY too much!!!!!!!!
--without trigger 1.34 grams at 4.3" radius with point at 11 degrees

well i just finshi to install the fidanza flywheel in my 1986 na44 I didn't balce the flywheel just send it to machine shop to install the origina pind from stock to fiadanza and car start and runs great and prety impress with resoults!!before the fidanza my car was slow in 1 and 2 gear but when you hit 3 it just spin wheels and alot of torque anad power was how car used to drive, now with fidanza car is faster 1 and second gears torque seems to move earlier , 3 gear is not that torquie now, i guess thaere is a little torque lost there and is refecting in 3 gear relly minimun, all over the power band seems more equal car is faster all over gears so i can see acceleration gain and cars is more reponsive and ajile, what a great improve!i will dyno car to see and compare before and after, nextIplan to install msd and blaster coil and bigger magnecor wire with bosh platinums 4 + to see if I can peak a little torque and 3 or 4 more hp!thanks

When I had my Jacobs Omni Mag on my NA I ran NGK coppers and opened the gap up to .052"

The Bosh 4's will work for you, but you may not see the full benefits of your MSD ignition system due to the gap cannot be opened up on those spark plugs. Go ahead and run them since you already spent the money. No harm no foul.
