AznDrgn: I agree with the mapping problem. If you floor it (WOT) at anything under 2500 RPM, it stumbles. But over 2500 RPM, it screams to redline, so I can live with it.

How is it a simple conversion? How many people have a MAF on an n/a? If it was simple or cheap, everyone would have one.

What I have found out, is using a 88-93 mustang maf, which sell for cheap on ebay but they are used and old, is a good maf to use on the 944 n/a. If you look at what's involved, these are expensive to begin with. The retail on a new MAF is $275-$300. Then adding a chip to make it plug and play is another $150-$200 retail. So $425-$500 is VERY cheap with little to no markup. But the seller needs to regain the money for R&D, and make some kind of profit.

To do my MAF conversion on my 944S, I bought a new maf and wiring harness $325, Maxtronic $275, and Maxtune $225. I spent a full weekend (a good 12 hours) tuning to make it perfect. All of that is $825.

The key word being "could"
Not to mention I was getting tired of someone coming on here sounding like an un-informed salesperson. Oh well dambed if I do, dambed if I don't. I quit

after i told you to pm me, i had 10 pm's from other people. i'm not going to pm 10 different people the same thing. wouldn't it be easier to just put it all out for everyone?

if you want to try a MAF, get a used 88-93 mustang gt/cobra maf. then pickup some kind of piggyback or maxtronic/maxtune. with the money you save on a used maf, it'll be easier to buy a fuel controller. Next you'll need a wideband with datalogging capabilities.
