if it is indeed an S you got the LSD, bigger tubo, bigger four pot brakes, etc.
I just wonder how somoene can own a turbo s and list it as a turbo s2.
be careful. make sure it is what he says it is.

Nice looking. Good color combo. Sewer lids actually look pretty decent, better then i thought they would on a car.
If you need any parts let me know. I'm parting out an 89 (got some Koni struts out of the car already)

I'm not sure it is an S; those seats don't look like the sport seats and I was under the impression all S's came w/ sport seats. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...

wow. This forum has to be the busiest forum I've ever been on.
Thanks for all the pro-burgundy votes out . Really though, at least it's not yellow (ha!)
This is not an 'S' (at least, there aren't any burgundy color codes fo 'S' models). He put S2 in there to catch anyone doing a search on S2. Then again, I've heard of people selling the 'S' model without realizing it. Hmmm...
The color is the standard burgundy color I think. For whatever reason, he f'd up the colors on the images.
Already have a new stereo lined up: Clarion DB365USB. And yeah, 10k on Antiques Roadshow!
I pegged him on the feedback rating. The guy who gave him a negative feedback was complaining about a Jaguar that sold for $800. The body panels on that thing are worth at least that much. The guy who gave the rating has an even worse rating, so I'm not puting too much stock in that.
I've been e-baying for a very long time. I've had very good luck on major purchases...even from people with 0 feedback rating and registered the day the auction opened. You just have to know what questions to ask and be prepared for any contingencies. Right now I'm only out the deposit. If I get there and find out the guy was full of b.s., I'm out the car rental and gas. Small price to pay for the chance at a good deal. I won't lie, there is an element of risk and sometimes it's good to hope for the best but expect the worst.
thanks for all the feedback.

It would be a good idea to arrange for a PPI and review service records before final payment, if you haven't already arranged that.
Good luck with the car. You got a great deal on the car if it turns out to be a well maintained example with no repairs needed.
Use the search function on this and the 944 Turbo forum, you will find a wealth of information as you enter 951 ownership.

Nice car, low mileage, rarer color, and a clean interior...you did good. Ask when the belts were changed. If no history I would line up a shop before the drive home just to be safe. You did good for an 88
