Why oh why is it that the people who do these types of things and have the money for the power have the WORST taste in mostly everything?

I think he was going after the look of this.. thing..

A V8 conversion shouldn't cost that much. I saw an LS7 on Craigslist for about $1200, it was a shortblock and needed to be put back together so that will cost a little more, then you have to fabricate a custom bellhousing and exhaust, buy some new headers, clutch, a few other things..

Find some 951 brakes if you have an n/a and a new trans..

I'd say $7-8k tops, which is what I would offer him after letting him know that the interior was completely destroyed and needs replacing..

is that dyno on the 3.5 944 on car domain for real? it looks more like a turbo dyno...
