From what I've heard they look great but they are heavy and they are cast instead of forged so they have a bad tendency to shatter rather than bend or crack.

You've actually got it the wrong way 'round, in that casting actually tends to flex more than forged before failure -- it's just that forged metals are much stronger.

A cast wheel (or anything, really) will have a lower hardness typically, and be significantly weaker than a forged wheel, but will exhibit more plastic deformation before failure. Forged metals will be very strong and exhibit much less deformation before failure and can often times be more brittle.

You ARE totally correct in that forged wheels are obviously better than cast; i'm sorry for seeming to be so nitpicky!

Ausgeflippt951, I agree with you though the mention of plastic deformation reminds me of Rockwell hardness ratings and damn material science terms (dislocation energies, lattice structures, etc). Scary what one remembers from 20 years ago.

It's all good, I just remember seeing pics of shattered replicas vs lots of pics of bent genuine fuchs.

Real 15" fuchs weigh about 12-14lbs each IIRC so 16's probably weight a little more than that.
