Actually the crank bolt is an M16-1.5 x 60mm but takes a 24mm socket. Don't forget that special washer behind the pulley...no washer, no oil pressure. Sorry to hear this, I hope your oil pressure held up when you lost that bolt.

Get a deep socket 24mm or you may blow up an extension working with that thing, I know I did removing it when I did my belts. Surprised my ratched survived!

Be sure to torque that thing good...

what kind of special washer do i need.? Is it rubber or metal.? Yeah the pressure held up but once i noticed a drop i pulled over and turned the car off, thats when i really knew something was horribly wrong. By any chance does any one know the torque spec for it.?

Torque is something like 160 ft/lbs. Get a deep socket, my local Carquest had one for like $18.

Oh and the special washer is flat on one side and tapered/flat on the other. It's the only washer like it in the whole car.

Yeah, torque it down real good... it takes a lot. iirc, 153 ft/lbs is the spec on it.
