the first gen looks like a 924 with a maserati rear end. the second gen looks like a 944.
I have never been a fan of the duck tail spoiler on the RX7. what year is that one? I had four of em. One was the most coveted of first gens. an 85 GSL-SE in custom silver metallic with a burgandy leather interior. it is one of the few cars i regret selling (for about $3500 no less (which was about 200 more than i paid for it))
Somewhere buried in pile in my parent's house are pictures of my 83 GSL or my 85 GSL with my buddies 84 300ZX and his dad's 84 944 with fuchs.

A buddy of mine has a GSL w/ the Jap-spec Turbo I engine. Now that's rare...

Secondly the 944 was here before the 2nd gen 7 so id say mazda copied porsche.

well the 944 turbo is copying the... Mitsubishi Starion TYPE-R... three-door, turbocharged four-cylinder rear-wheel drive four-seat widebody sports car... production started in 1982 to compete with the 924 turbo... but it has fender flares...
