Default cars.com or autotrader.com?

Which one should I list my Turbo on? Cars is $55 for an unlimited length of time with a money back guarantee if it doesnt sell in 90 days, autotrader is $79 for an unlimited length of time.

I was going to go to autotrader which I think is better too, but cars.com gives you the ability to see how many hits you got etc. I like that junk even though it has no meaning in real life. Plus for $55 they let the potential buyer see a carfax. Which of course is wrong. It has a title being issued 5/7/7. Thats when they issued my custom plates!!!

Here is the ad. If it doesnt sell in 90 days I can get my $$ back. Lets see if that really happens.

Here is the ad: http://www.cars.com/go/search/search...g&aff=national

remember autotrader.com is national...cars.com is not known in every market...only markets where Gannet (usa today) owns the local paper...so some places like Memphis Tn for example, the local consumers would not likely search cars.com...
also autotrader.com has about 3 times the "searches" as cars.com
.for these cars ...the bigger the audience ..the better

one guy called me last night and i asked which porsche he was talking about. he said the 944. I said which one (remember each of my ads said i own two porsches and have to sell one). he said the turbo.

i didnt remember giving my phone number to a guy that answered the turbo ad. so i said ok, the turbo, which i am asking 12,900 for. all of a sudden he got pissed and said no thanks, have a nice day.

well if the knucklehead read the friggin ad for the S2 which i am asking 11,000 for he would have know it isnt a turbo!!!!

i dont have time to edgeumucayte idiots. i did however have lenghty emails with a few prospective purchasers that told me the price was too high, and asked what kind of 944 they could get for less. people like that i am happy to educate.

Tom, 2 things about your ad:
1. change the main picture to something from the front, not the rear
2. in that same vein, i bet if you took that lightbar off the car you would sell it faster

I've allways like Cars.com a lot more than autotrader. I can't stand autotrader's setup.

Well, here are the results after a little less than one day:
Total Ad Traffic
Search Results Views 140 Original Start Date 6/9/2007
Preview Pane Views 2 Days Live On Site 1
Ad Page Views 19

One fellow emailed me. Asked real questions. It was a pleasure to answer real questions! He want to time trial it in NASA and isnt sure it the upgraded turbo will put him in another class.

Any ideas?

Simon,
I purposely put a picture from the rear on the cover. Every car is a nose shot. I want it to stand out a bit.

I would love to take the light bar off. Then I have two holes or more in the rear valance, and holes in the bumper.

...and as a result, Craigslist is exactly where I got my 951 from...$5000 from a dude who thought the PS (and the alternator) was the turbo...

So why is listing on both autotrader AND cars.com a problem?
