i decided to fix another problem, i want to sell it, its been over heating in about 1o minutes . i put a new thermostat on and it still didnt help.some one told me it was the head gasket, because there was steam coming out the top hose, i did the head gasket my self everything went smooth. i put it all back together and still the same thing over heating, ive bled the system right ithink .
i flushed the block , and today i took the radiator to a shop they said it was 30% stoped up . i got it back and still heats up.
any clues to what is going on?

Either your system needs to be bled or you are having issues with the cooling electronics ---- fuse, relay, thermal fan switch, wiring, etc. Clark's garage www.clarks-garage.com has a nice write up under cooling system in the garage manual. Good luck.

I'd suggest borrowing a pressure tester from Autozone or similar local auto parts place. I suspect you have some hidden leaks that only occur when the system is under pressure. Most parts places will loan you the tool at no cost...as long as you bring it back within the specified time.
My car had several small leaks that this tool helped me track down.

What year and model are we working on? When you say it's overheating, where is the temp gauge? Later cars overheating = above 2nd white line on guage. When it is running hot, are the fans coming on? Low or high speed? Only one, or both? The more we have to work with, the easier it is to help solve.
