Default How to remove Fuel pressure regulator

whats the easiest way to replace the fuel pressure regulator. Do i have to remove the rail?

take off fuel line... plug it so you dont spill gas everywhere.
Take off vacuum line.
unbolt the to bolts in the FPR.
Twist and pull until the old one comes out.

Takes about 10 minutes to take out an old one and put in a new one.

And when you put in the new one put ATF on the rubber seal so it slides in nicely.

still cant disconnect the line that comes in at the firewall side.

you can't disconnect it at the regulator itself? Why?

i finnaly got it swapped in the new regulator and my problem DOES NOT go away. i got down the road and when i turned around it wont go over 1000 rmp without stalling and spuddering so i had to baby it at 5mph back home.

have you checked your
AFM
TPS
or reference sensors?

84 944 idont know how to diagnose the reference sensors or the AFM but imsure its worth a look
