Question front shock questions

I have a 944 S cab. I have a chance to buy some koni adjustable sport shock inserts. They fit model oe w/sachs sealed unit. Are Sachs what come on form the factory? Can I put the koni inserts in? how hard is it to do?

Your S2 probably came from the factory with Boge or Sachs struts, unless a sport or M030 option was specified. The Koni adjustable inserts to fit your OE sealed strut housings are model 8641-1414. Yes, you can modify [cut, drain, drill] your struts to fit these inserts. Paragon [www.paragon-products.com] has detailed instructions for just this "modification". They sell the inserts as well. Good luck.

Just finished the job on my 89 s2, not nearly as bad as it appears,
followed the directions to a t including painting the old housing koni yellow.
Just took it to the alignment shop today to have the front end reset,
I set the ride to a quarter turn from the softest setting, and it rides great,
i tested the old struts before i cut them apart and both sounded like someone was "farting" when you pushed them in, plus no gas charge left at all.
Its a job worth the time. By the way it took me the better part of a rainy
Sunday to complete....

I think you'll want to do the rears, too, though.
