Default Locked Keys in car-Help!!

I am putting power door locks on an '86 951. The actuators are internally switched, so when I pushed the passenger lock down it locked both sides.
I tried SEARCH but nobody will tells how to get in except w/AAA or taking the rear quarter window out.

Search didnt work because it is incredibly dangerous to post how to break into our cars on the web. Too many car thieves have access to the internet. Its best to ask people directly.

This is why you should have spares made...

You could use a BFSD to open the hatch, but then you'd need a new cylinder and key.

Like the guy that was riding in the back of the pickup that went into the lake; he drowned because he couldn't get the tailgate down!!!

That's why the factory powerlocks, with key out of ignition, can only be locked from the outside.

You could pry open the sunroof but you'd need new lifting arms...

I did this before, people posted a couple ways to get in, but then I requested the thread get deleted.
I'll PM you with the way someone told me to get in through the hatch.

Good luck

isn't there some way of popping open your hood and fiddling with your wiring, bypassing the switch and sending power directly to the door locks causing them to open? i dunno, i could be wrong as i haven't been able to mess with power door locks yet, but it sounds like a possibility..

You'd need to have access to the switch to take it out of the circuit. If you had the locks on a direct line to the battery you could pop them. You can pop the hood from below the car, and once you have it open maybe you could cut a hole in the battery tray. It probably needed to be replaced for leaks anyways...

anybody every try the tennis ball trick? Seen the video, don't know if it would actually work or not, seems feasible in principle. Basically you drill a hole in a tennis ball, but the hole over the key hole, smack ball hard and the air forced into the door comes out around the door lock post pushing it up and unlocking the door. Couldn't hurt to try, how much could a tennis ball cost?

Quarter windows are only like $25 on ebay...

*edit* Patrat is selling the ones from his parts car for $10. Probably cheaper than paying for the labor of a AAA guy to come out.
