Default cross post: steering column gauge mount DIY/show-off thread

Just thought I'd stick it here as well as the 951 section incase any of you n/a crowd feel like sticking some aftermarket gauges in.

Enjoy!

Nice write-up Bill. That looks vaguely familiar I used a spare steering column trim piece I had with one of the gimbal mounts supplied with the VDO gauge. I can see it well and it doesn't block any other gauges on the cluster.

Very nice. I'm jealous of that interior. I wish black & tan looked that good.

30 PSI gauge? What crazy mods are you planning?

Not my taste but great write-up and execution.

Yeah, I sort of used yours as inspiration. I remember glancing into your car back in december and seeing it, but never got around to asking details.

I'm not planning anything insane, but figured that I may want to breach 20 at some point, and since the gauges either go to 20 or 30, I went with a 30.

Oh, incase anyone was wondering, I used my magic black-paint touch up tool (commonly referred to as a sharpie) to color in the yellow MOMO text on the wheel because it wasn't working with the interior. Looks much better now.

I figured it was more along the lines of "this one goes to 30."

Very nice, bill. I have no boost with which to use said gauge, but that's pretty cool.
