Default Feeler Post.. Timing/balance shaft tension party in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Thought some of you Listers may want to check ot this GTG from the Pelican Board. If your live near the area and want to get your hands dirty and check tensioning or replace your belts this would be a great opportunity not to mention the hair raising run afterwards.

Dang, May 19th looks open, but 305 miles is a bit far for me

I started on Sunday, pulled off the air box, distributor, etc. Got to pulling the other belts off, got a few stuck bolts, checked the time... realized I shouldn't go anty further; as that would be the point of no return (where I'd leave it until it was done), so I put it all back together and moved it so my wife could park back in the garage. I'll give it another go next weekend, starting Saturday - should go quicker, since I'll be more familiar with the process.

Woulda loved to watch someone else do it first - thanks for the head's up

being nosey here... may I ask what you're doing? related to your possible move? I won't take offense if you ignore this, so no worries.

I'll be doing my belts this weekend - hopefully, nothing else more urgent will explode and need my attention.

But wrenching is like sex... more fun if you're not by yourself

If work does not get in the way this week, I am trying to go. I will contact you for details. I have to do or have someone do my belts soon so this sounds like a good idea for me to learn something/fun to do.

Unfortunately, no. I am staying put in IL for a while longer. I am coming that way b/c my best friend is being sworn in as a lawyer over there!
