Dan,

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the Fest, as usual. Should be another one to remember.

Now if I can get all my work done on Herbie in the next few days - I'll be all set. I'd rather not list everything I'm doing to get the car ready. Might make the tech inspectors nervous...

Got to get back to Clark's garage and the service manual to verify my torque settings....

Doh!!! I don't see Winslow on the list.

Is he going to make it? Even if he brings the EM5000 (whatever they called it in Stripes....) it will be great to see him again.

I don't think the electric bug zapper wired in place of the ignition coil is going to pass..

I've got a full chip set I can bring for poker so there can be two games going, if necessary!

Winslow is pulling some strings and he claims he WILL be there to help out. Scott Good had to back out of my instructor roster, and Winslow slid into the spot.

im getting excited, i managed to get work off when things were looking sketchy, got my temperature issues fixed as some may have seen in a different thread, and the FPR i just got fixed my goofy dipping idle in neutral when letting off gas or disengaging clutch... no AC, but meh sunroof works

I will probably pass on hold 'em cuz i suck and cant keep up at a table full of people that know the lingo, I'm down for Euchre though ;p, otherwise, where's the beer?

Damn, i'm excited! I'm definetly down for poker, and could even be talked into dynoing my NA (just for fun). I do have some rather suprising/exciting news involving my 2.7L to release at the 'fest, and (hopefully) it will attract lots of attention...
See you there! (thursday night)

Be there at 7. I believe track runs started at 10am last year, with an advanced group running at 9 while the novices got instructions.

Yea, I suppose I should get a schedule together. I'll try to do that tonight. We begin on track at 8am, first instructors, then advanced, then novices. We'll do :30 minute run groups, and novices will be in classroom at least once and maybe twice during the day.

I do plan to dedicate one run group to filming. This is going to take some work, and a lot of co-ordination, but I hope to run my truck on the track with a cameraman and a boom sticking out the rear. We'll send cars out to make a 7/10ths pass by the camera vehicle and catch some great angles and unusual footage for the Fest2007 Video. I am VERY concerned with the safety aspect for this project, and we won't be making HOT passes by the truck, just approach, manuever NEAR the camera boom, and then accelerate away. I think this has the potential to make a very, very neat video!!

I can't say what time I will arrive Thurs, I hope to get there before most of you. Chip will be arriving with his trailer, unloading his race car, and then making a run to pick up tables and chairs. He can use a few helpers, if anyone wants to help him, keep an eye out.

I have nothing official planned for Thurs night, maybe it would be a good BYOB/munchies night.
