How to roll the rear rear lip??
Hey guys.
How do I roll the rear fender lip? The new tires I bought are rubbing abit especially with a full tank of gas.
I know the 951S comes with the lips rolled, so how do I get my rolled up to that extreme?
Any ideas would be appreciated

I have not tried it personally, but some racers I know use a wooden baseball bat and someone to sit on the fender while rolling.

i have heard of the baseball bat technique with heating up the area with a heat gun. Heating up the area prevents the paint from chipping.
I personally have not tried it but if I was going to..I would use the following:

I have used both wooden and aluminum bats. Both will work but you have to go slow and make very small "adjustments" to avoid cracking the paint. I carry one in my trailer.

I used this method with pretty good success:

Mostly because I had the tools lying around, and I wasn't doing this on a street car. Haven't tried the baseball bat method though.
If you care about your paint, you should seriously consider renting the proper fender rolling tool. It's pretty easy to crack the paint in my limited experience.

you can usually rent ones that will actually mount to your hub with your lug nuts. then you just set the amount of pressure to be applied then turn a crank and it will start to move across the inside of the fender.

I used a baseball bat. Jack up the car enough to get the bat to fit just inbetween, then push down and roll back and forth. Its a pain, but it works. The paint WILL crack if you dont heat it up.
