Hi,
I am installing a new cam cover gasket and replacing the seals for my 1983 Porsche 944. I've read that there is a procedure to lock the flywheel and was wondering if it is to keep any of the motor from rotating? Also, can the flywheel lock be purchsed anywhere? Is the flywheel lock easy to put in place?
Any assistance, direction or pictures is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Darcy

Yes, set the engine to top dead center, remove the starter, place flywheel lock. Lots of places to buy one...
