Well, I've been busy. I got my new Potenzas mounted to my 968 wheels I just bought and snubbed the bumper.
I still have to do a blend to the front and tidy up the areas by the signals, but....what do you think?

I think it looks great. I'm ready to head up that road too and snub the nose of my '44. How hard was it to drill the bumper shocks? I tried but broke my drill bit. Second attempt this weekend.
Any other pictures. Up close perhaps?

nice wheels! i snubbed the nose of my old n/a, i like stock better tho for some reason. Drilling the shocks out is easy, thing to do is pull them off, drill them, mount the bumper, THEN push it in. Makes putting the bumper bolts in much easier.

Looks great Rick! Cup wheels (any version) are amongst my favorites for these cars. When you say you need to do a blend to the front, what are you referring to?

I still have to remove the rear bumper pads, but since I'm heading to Ottawa next weekend I'll have to wait.
I'll post a closeup of the signal area so you can see why I want to tidy it up. The bumper pad fills a gap between the signal and the bumper steel, so when its removed you've got to fill 'er in with something. I will likely use a piece of metal and tack it in, then smooth things out with some light filler. The bumper is still a ways from being done, as I quickly added colour just to see what it'll look like. I'll have to resand it again and respray it when I fill in the gap anyway.
When I do I'll post the after pics too.
