Default New suspension upgrades - Set up help.

So i've spent the weekend upgrading and refreshing the suspension. New H&R drop springs, renbay geo-cor. ball joints, red welt. front bushings, and 968 casters. The car needs to be sent for an alignment, but before i drive it over to have that done, i want to know where i set the caster block eccentric bolt for a 'neutral' set up? Im not to sure how the caster affects the alightment exactly, but i dont want it to shear if i set it at the wrong degree. Anyone have any advice?

thanks

You'll be fine driving to your shop any way you put it together. Caster is the "angle of tilt back" of the steering pivot axis -- in this case the front strut/steering nuckle -- it actually moves the center line of the contact patch (where the rubber touches the road) forward of the wheel's rotational axis. The greater this angle, the more more the car will "self straighten out" after a turn. Meaning, if you were in a large parking lot, turned the steering wheel in one direction, let go of the wheel and drive, the car would steer back to the straight position.
