I thought you weren't supposed to let the half shafts hang like that. I've always read that they should be wired up so the full weight of the shaft doesn't hang on the outer CV or damage can occur.

That's why I have shops do my work. They screw something up, they fix it.

Wolfe good to hear. I will be doing mine soon as it has 120K on it and it was last done in 95 or96 so regardless its time to do it. Plus the flywheel is alittle warped. So I have to get that resurfaced

When I bought my car the previous owner informed me that it had some clutch problems. So I bought everything brand new and it turned out that it was just a trashed pilot bearing. The clutch was like new. My dad said I could sell it for a couple of hundred bucks, but a couple of days later somebody at the shop tossed it by accident. I should have taken it with me that same day. TIP: make sure to have a new pilot bearing before you start your clutch job..sucks to have to leave it on a lift over the weekend because all the shops that carry it are closed (stupid $8 part! )
