Have not seen a 951 bumper close enough to know, but you could probably make it work on a n/a with it tucking underneath the front bumper. I think the problem however would be the plate blocking flow to the radiator when its lowered. You could maybe mount it upside down to the bottom side of the bumper to avoid this.

What would be really trick is a electronic release and deploy..would be real James Bond like.

Interesting. The point (as asked above) is to not have to run a front plate all the time as it does not look to appealing on the front bumper. There are times when you are more likely to get ticketed (parking, tunnels, tolls) where the plate could be lowered if needed.

hmm if u get pull over because you dont have a front plate you could quickly hit the button and say yes I do :P

My Miata has a hinged plate the just folds back at speed. Not quite as hidden as this one, but hey, it came with the car, so...

I thought about doing something similar, but having both front and back plates be controlled by a switch and a small motor for each plate. Have them flip face down when "having fun".....
For some reason smokey and the bandit gave me this idea.....

I just realized the tow hook thinger is in the spot on the turbo, so its not going to work. I think im just going to take my front plate off!

Here in Kali, front plates are required too. I have never had one on my 968 and I've never gotten hassled. My dad's 928 didn't have one and he got 2 or 3 tickets for it, so he put it on.

I don't know... $100 just to hide the front plate sometimes? Why not just mount it with zip-ties and cut when desired? It'll take a loooooong time to waste $100 worth of zip-ties.

Just dont put it on. Never had one on my 44, and I've never been pulled over for it. I've always just thought that cops told people that as an reason when the pulled you over for no reason at all or just to check out your car. Cant you just throw one on your dash anyways? I think that's ok in Cali.

Front plates are required in CA, putting them on the dash is fine as long as it's clearly visible from the outside.

Funny how the 'Vette guys never seem to get any trouble for not having plates...
