If you are only worried about water and not othet stuff I'd just make a lip on the edge of the hood before the hole down into the engine bay to duct the water away from the engine, or at least the water already on the hood.

All the pieces are made by American International Racing, although I didn't purchase any except the hood scoop from them directly.

thanks!

Great job!

- Yes, keep the 16" Fuchs - proper size
- No, don't add the rear 951 valance as the real original Carrera GTS didn't have this. Lighter=faster.
- Make sure to rotate and swap your tach to the center for the full effect. Read my post and photo here you could also redo the tach graphic with right side up numbers.
- After you paint, PM me about the Carrera GT rear logo and fender script.

Here are some photos to keep the enthusiasm crankin'

Thanks!

I am debating wether I want to have the "Carrera" decal on the fender.

For the rear I want to either get a decal made or somehow make a "GTS" plate like on the real deal...

I appreciate the kind offer!

The fender script is uber kewl. I've made it up and put it on my old 1987 944 I had.

Making the rear badge would be a little more difficult, but could be done with vinyl on top of a piece of fiberglass. At least for half the effect. For the full monty, getting the GT S logotype to be dropped down will be the challenge and require a mold. Designing the logotype to exactly like the original is the easy part.
