Isn't that where the fuel goes?

Ok, I have it installed under the seat. I tie wrapped the unit to the carpet. There is an indentation on the floor and the unit fits perfectly in there. I also ran the remote control back into the cassette holder in trying to keep a OE look.

Have not powered it up yet for a test drive. Killed the battery last night doing the install...

Here's where I put mine. I'm have not finished yet, I still have to move the shuttle in to the box and then cover it with the same carpet I have in the boot.

That's such a cool picture effect....*jealous*

You know what could be cool? Removing the rear seat upholstery and carpeting over the backing and then putting twin woofers on the upper seat portion (so they're behind your head).

They can fold down for security too

In the cab your seat back is about 100mm high which is much to small for a sub.

There is a guy in LA that does that in 44's. He uses leather covererd panels and puts the subs where the rear seat bottoms were and the amp over the spare tire well. Hatch carpet is completely replaced with leather covered panels also. If I didn't want to retain my rear seats, I would do this. It looks seamless. I'll ask him if I can take pics next time I am there. Beeeeuuuuutiful.
