What I am doing is buying up hardware from people who part cars. I then do the re-plating process so that I have clean, new-looking hardware to use on mine and customer's cars.

Wow. That's fantastic. My dream is to buy a parts car, have that done to every single fastener I can take off of it, and then just replace them on my car one at a time. I don't have the courage to remove it all and send it out from my own car. The notes and digital photographs required to be certain that I know where it all goes would be brutally time consuming. And what if they lose the box?
Sharky -- would you consider selling some boxes of hardware like that? I'd gladly pay for cad or yellow zinc plated used hardware from a parts car to replace that stuff on my own car.

If you would sell the hood latch assembly cadmium plated I think they would sell like wildfire for you. It would compliment your stainless hood pin nicely too. I know that the whole hood latch assembly in my car looks pretty ****ty, as do the assemblies in most old N/A's. Cool beans man!
