Default Feeler: 944 engine stuff

Now that I'm a member, I guess I can ask about this without getting flamed

Is there a market for 944 engine stuff? I spun a bearing on my original engine. I have it under the workbench and am thinking of selling it or breaking up for parts so I can fund another project.

It's a 1986 block with a spun bearing and about 172,000 miles on it. 1 track day (the last one)

It's still in one lump in the garage. Is there any interest in parts off this thing? If so, what parts and what's a good price for stuff?

No airbox or DME parts, but I do have other miscellaneous items.... headers, etc.

check out www.freightpro.com for potential shipping. I used them to ship half a container from LA to St. Louis once and it was only around $200. I wouldn't think an engine strapped to a pallet would be all that expensive.

Yeah, and we have a loading dock at the shop - so it could come freight no problem.

Daniel...look into the cost and tell me if it's still worth it to you. I'm happy to assist, but my guess is that it's more trouble than it's worth whole.
