In case you were curious what a 968 engine sounds like straight piped...

I HAD an SFR exhaust on there. Took it off, sold it. Is a good exhaust but not exactly what I'm looking for right now. Had it for 3 years and it did sound nice.

I have an 89 951S in the garage right now that I am finishing up for a customer - it has a 4" Lindsey STRAIT exhaust with a wastegate pipe that vents to atmosphere - I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR IT!!!!!!
Car will not start, that's the part that I have to fix for him........

Was it the full system? Why did you take it off?

Instead, I'm making my own. Still trying to figure out what muffler to use. Was leaning toward a Supertrapp, but those darn things are too expensive. But the thought of so easily tuning for an auto-x, daily driving, DE, etc., in less then a minute is so enticing...

I have a friend with a 944S track car w/ a 968 motor... after so research, he went with a 2.5" exhaust... somewhere mid way between the cat and the muffler he stepped it up to 3" back and saw a gain in power on the dyno.

Haha I love how you wander out to your front drive in flip flops, kick on the car and drop your head down under there looking at it...
And then I noticed the sun was on the horizon indacting you just revved up your straight pipe 944 right at sunset or more likely at the crack of dawn! LOL
