Default Considering deleting my rear seat, but...

I'm toying with the idea of pulling out my rear seat. With the Redline bar I can't use it anyway. But I don't want to do anything permanent (this is likely a stop-gap track toy since I want to get another car to do this in), so my question is how easy is it to reinstall the rear seat, since I may likely want to do that? Namely, the glued-in bottom part?

Thanks,
BB.

Not bad at all, I just reinstalled the bottom seat cushion. All that really holds it in place is the old glue, not really doing much, and the metal clips at the top where it meets the hatch area. Hard to explain but you'll know once you take off the rear seat back, they are impossible to miss.

IF you're careful and don't tear the leather/fabric/whatever when removing the clips at the top rear of the seat, it's cake to reinstall.

Everything else is just glue... you can always re-do that with modern adhesives. But if you rip the material, well...

I did it with no issues when I pulled the leather one out of my 87.

Just out of curiosity, when was your 87 built? Mine was in 11/86 IIRC.

Off the top of my head I don't remember. I know I have it around somewhere, tho!

Brian, we have to meet up some time real soon. You've never seen my 944S....... i'm sure it looks pretty close to what you are trying to accomplish.

I do agree, we have to run into each other again. Plus, you can get those better caliper pictures you want!
