I was gonna say, I expected him to keep the tranny if it had LSD so he could drop it into the track car.

So as to not make this a complete threadjack, that looks good 75ohm.

hmm... pretty. Couldn't justify that myself, I would end up rolling the car just to show off my handywork.

It only took me a couple of hours with an air dremel and a wire brush attachment. I took off the old paint on differential and heat shield and sprayed it rattle can satin black.

Ok so forgive the ignorance here, but why is it that everyone paints that one portion of the tranny? And what is it? Being so far away from my baby has caused me to forget certain intricacies of these cars...

Oh and the trannies look great! maybe I'll get along to cleaning mine at some point...

Because its the part of the tranny that happens to be made of iron/steel...and we paint it so it doesnt rust.

Mine is red to match my brakes and my cam cover.

That area is painted black originally from the factory. And there is a heat shield that is bolted on that is also painted black.
