Question Rear seat delete...

I need some advice on removing my rear seat (saving some weight). Other then the seat and belts what else can I do? Any pictures would be great.

Chrenan, even if that looks very good, it still keeps about 1/2 the weight of the rear seats in the car...17ish lbs...

I didn't think the rear seat base weight was 17lbs, seeing as it is made of foam. I never weighed it though. When I installed the rollbar I wanted to cancel out that 60 added pounds. Saved weight on the one piece seats, no rear seat back, and also installed euro bumpers. Hopefully I came out around even.

V2 posts incorrect information again.......

The seat base weighs almost nothing compared to the rest of the system - that being said, I would go ahead and remove all of it. Then again, it sure makes it easy to put carpet down with the gentler curves........

One tip...to remove the seat top...look for two bolts at the hinge points (they're easily accessible from the front of the back seat. I tried removing mine by removing the bolts in the hatch...and well basically that is NOT the way to do it.
