Mine had an issue like that when the TPS got wet... teach me to use a pressure washer on that again... sheesh.

Maybe the problem is 4th gear at 5k rpms is a bit over the speed limit...

p.s. your intake hoses aren't soft in any way that they could be collapsing on themselves are they?

thank you russell i checked the intercooler pipes and one was a little loose, i tightened it and then the car was back to normal
