So far car runs good and I scheduled a dyno-session next week to tune out the best of this lil' oldie engine.
On Saturday I went to a local drag race that took place in an abandoned Soviet military airport.
This is 924 beating up 2006 Pontiac GTO with 350cid engine and 350hp 8)
And it's not due to perfect launch but I really pulled off in 1. and 2. gears. GTO started to close the gap in 3rd but it wasn't enough!
GTO was automatic, not manual, hence a bit poorer performance from his side.

No dyno yet but I scheduled a dyno-session next week to tune the ignition map. There wasn't anyone who'd shoot a video.
I made a small clip of the rolling start acceleration from 2nd til 4th with my cell phone but it's in some weird form that any of the players won't play.

Little update.
Installed 951 brakes (sandblasted and painted calipers, Ferodo DS Performance pads, new Zimmermann rotors, Ate Super Racing Blue fluid), installed S2 sway bars and made alloy rear control arm conversion.
Car already had yellow Konis front and rear.
These are fronts:

These are rears:

Rear axle:

And here it is with Turbo Twists installed again. Had them last summer also, this spring I tried Cup1's.

au contraire, the 951 fixed the overheated turbo on the 931 by putting it where you put yours where it's nice 'n cool. So, in your laziness, you've stumbled the correct solution.

Correct solution is to use proper turbocharger, not old K26 that was pretty much early 70's technology.
I have watercooling jacket on this current turbo, but who needs it? 931 could use it, but it's a waste of time setting that up.
That engine is going out anyway in winter to be changed out to 2.5liter 16v turbocharged one and guess what, turbo will be on the passenger side

Or I could put 16x7 + 16x9 BBS RS 3piece forged wheels if there comes a mood or necessity. I have 3 sets of wheels for a car.

in any case, good wrenching for sure. Has to be one off the coolest 924s I've seen.
