What are the reputable shops/repair palces in the seattle area for 944's? Anyone know of a few? No problems yet (knock on wood), but just in case...

Default Well...

I was pretty impressed with Squires. They did an outstanding job on the PPI for my S2. I have heard good things about a few other shops over there as well.

Hope you never need them though...

Cory

Gerber Motorsports in Seattle has a knowledgeable 944 Mechanic, and the rest are familiar with them.

Squire is very good, though works more on newer models usually.

As I've worked in different areas of puget sound i've been to:

Redmond European in Redmond
Squires in Bellevue
Gerbers in Seattle (near Fishermans terminal)

I'd recomend them all.

Squire's is excellent, I would not go anywhere else. You never know what kind of Porsche you might see there.

AS far as I'm concerned, Gerber is the only place in Seattle that will touch my 924S. They Do excellent work, treat you well, and work quickly. They won't try to "fix" stuff that doesn't need fixing. Many times, I sit and wait while they do it.

Just before New Years I dropped my car off with them with a list and instructions to find everything they could, and fix it. If it looked at them funny, they should fix it.
They fixed a few things, and said that's all they could find wrong with the car - for a total of $600. I was excepting $2-3000...

I'm new around here. I bought my Boxster in January. First Porsche and I've only lived in the Seattle area going on 3 years this August, so this is good info. I live in south King county, but I'm willing to drive for a good mechanic. I have what I think is a RMS leak. I was going to take it to Larson's Porsche in Tacoma, but they screwed up scheduling the day on my first appointment. Asking around I haven't heard anything good about them anyway and their service before they even touched my car has sucked. I'll gladly take it to one of these places. Thanks.

Yeah, I live in Pacific right on the edge of Auburn. Lake Tapps is a beautiful area. We took an afternoon drive around there a few weeks ago. Too bad there was hardly any water in the lake at the time. I bought a house here about a year ago, so haven't been down here long.
