Sharky..if you only ground the intake and added your throttle body, do you have to adjust anything computer-wise, etc, etc?

have you added Jesse's chip too?

Since you would be adding more air with a larger throttle body, more fuel would be needed to keep proper a/f ratios

As far as I am concerned, Dan is the man. I approached him about this project about 2 weeks ago. I appreciate him helping me reach the goal I set for my car!

So Jesse, more fuel would be required...what would be the simplest way to achieve this? Fuel pressure regulator swap?

I'm not a rocket scientist in this area, but teach me master...

i guess you could use an adj. fpr.... but it wouldn't be completely efficient. I will use Maxtune with my Maxtronic, and add fuel as needed throughout the rpm range.

Yeah - with the advent of Maxtronic/Maxtune - adjusting the A/F ratio is relatively easy.

Ok, I think that's the one you've been working on...so...could it or would it be pre-set for your larger throttle body then? Or would I tune it myself? i hope I don't ask too many dumb q's.

This is very interesting...I'd really like to know about performance gains with this new throttle body and chip. I'll be watching.

I will be interested to hear about the driveability of the car with the larger throttle installed. It seems like you are trading some throttle precision for horsepower, since even small throttle openings will allow alot of air through.

Maxtune allows you to make your own changes. You then write them to the Maxtronic.

That doesnt change the fundamental quality of a bigger throttle valve allowing in more air per unit movement of the foot. Perhaps retaining a throttle cam as per Porsche's solution would keep it manageable.

Dan- are you taking on projects? I may have to break out the ol' CAD software if so.
