There are two water hoses running to the 968 throttle valve on the intake mani... I didn't get these hoses with the engine, and I couldn't source them and through a discussion with a mechanic decided that it wasn't truly needed... So I just blocked off the line from the block.
Does anyone have any evidence of bad things happening due to improper cooling of the throttle valve, or is this just more p-car overkill?
Thanks

Correct it is to prevent Icing of the throttle body under light acceleration. On a track car the throttle is wide open most of the time but on a street car under light throttle Icing can occur in even warm weather if the humidity is just right. Once knew of a camaro icing at 70degrees because the hoses were not connected.
