Default B&B Catback install Before/After Video

Hey all, installed my B&B catback yesterday.

What can I say, MAN IT SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!

Well, before we get to that, the three rusted bolts were a PITA to get out, they each came out in three different ways.

The bottom bolt I dremeled in half since there was a little gap between the two halves of the exhaust and I could just barely fit the dremel in there.

The upper driver's side bolt I actually broke free and unscrewed it, with a 13mm crescent wrench on one side and a 13mm socket with a mini breaker bar on the other.

The upper pass side was the tough one.
It wouldn't budge with the socket/wrench combo. I tried to saw it in half. Nope.
Then I somehow got my giant breaker bar and 13mm socket on there, and turned with all my might.
Snapped the bolt in half.
Great success.

The bolt up was not really straightforward, I had to run out and get a 2.5" 3-bolt exhaust collector gasket to seal between the two pieces, since the factory piece has kinda a male and female end, one slides into the other.
The B&B did not, so I needed a gasket.
I also picked up some exhaust repair crap and sealed the outside when I bolted it up.

I forgot to mention I got 3 brand new stainless steel nuts and bolts from Ace Hardware for the catback.

The mounts just below the rear bumper were about 1.5" off, the catback was shorter than the factory part.

So I had to chop off the studs on the factory hangers, drill the holes out, and use longer M8 bolts to secure the catback.
Besides the fact that the factory hangers were made of the hardest metal known to dremel, it went fine.

I know I know, you want to know how it sounds!

Well, watch the videos with headphones on so you can hear it better.

The B&B is definitely much deeper, much throatier than factory.

It kinda sounds "burbly?"

I just love the snarl it makes when I fire it up, like waking a sleeping lion.

I think I gained like 40hp at least!

Just kidding, the seat of the pants says it feels the same!

Which is exactly what I wanted, I did not want to loose the low end grunt.

It does feel like the engine revs a little more freely, but that might just be my imagination.

If the videos don't work for anyone let me know, they are live according to google. They are unlisted though, so you can only see them from a link, won't come up in a search.

That sounds very similar to my car.

I also had quiet and experience getting those bolts off when i put on my SFR catback. I ended up snapping all three of the bolts in half also.

For comparison sake here are a few of my car..

Thanks, it does really sound alike!

I had that first video saved on my PC before I bought the car as an example of what I wanted mine to sound like.

Mission accomplished.

I have to ask - Airflite's car does the same thing mine does. If listen right before it returns to idle there is a pause and then a full drop to idle. So its like - lots of rpms dropping - hoollldd at 1KKKK - then the dip to 8/900 rpms. Why this slight pause before full return to idle? My car does it too and I've always thought it was something wrong, but I guess everybody elses car has this little pause too.... Whats up with this?

Btw - that exhaust sounds badass!

Is that your website? Great idea. I had that idea a while back but didn't want to pay for the bandwidth that thing will no doubt turn over! Congrats though, well done. We should do some x-adverts...
