I had two versions of the pins - I copied the late version FWIW. What I am doing is making stuff I want, and then making extra and selling it basically. With a CNC machine, it is just as easy to make 1000 parts as it is 1.

billthe3 - uh, I have been a small business sponser for some time now........

One set of pins is as Dan is manufacturing them, the other has a slot cut through the point for adjustment purposes. I forget which set but one set is also smaller diameter.

Ok, here's the reasons I didn't slot my pins -

1. It would require a secondary operation, that would negatively affect price.

2. It would be like curing a sympom, rather than the problem. What you need to do is get the old pin out and run a tap through the recepticle if you had any problems. Then install the new one and forget about it - it's stainless so it will never rust itself to the nutplate.

Anyways - thanks to everyone that ordered them they will either ship out today or tomorrow depending on whether I am able to make it to the post office.

BTW - I uploaded some new pics of the pins installed in my car to my website.

I personally like the unslotted pins....just describing the difference in the two types.

I know - just wanted to give a rhyme for my reason......

Hopefully soon I can give some attention to the project we discussed! That will require millwork, but I am working on solving that issue........stay tuned.

Very nice work, and thoughtful! I was also wondering about the slot, but I suppose you're right in that it's not necessary. Besides, I'd rather just use my dremel to make two flat spot on the unthreaded part, so I can grab it with a small crescent wrench. If I needed to.

I'm going to order 944S cam cover bolts when you have them ready.

Yeah, yeah - I made them last night and put them on the website an hour later - what more do you want?

Now I really want to order some pins too... but mine are still nice!

Do you think you'll ever make manual roof latches?

Ok, I'm in on a set also. Anything Josh B and Aribop recommend I'm sure is pretty good. Keep up the good work guys!
