Default Broken power window-anyone recognize this part?

Well it's not really a part, it seems like a broken off steel tab. My driver's window was starting to not work very well, and rather than fixing it while it still worked I waited until it broke completely. It's only shiny on the ends of the break, like it was cracked for a long time and barely hanging on before it broke.

I was either putting the window up or down- I don't remember, and heard a snap, then the window would not go up at all anymore. After removing the door panel, I found what you see in the picture laying in the bottom of the door. All of the bolts that hold the power lifting assembly were loose also. I know that the round parts snap on the the arms and ride in the track on the bottom of the window, but can't see where the tab was. I can't seem to get the assembly out of the door either.

What did the tab break off of? Did it keep the window from going down too far, and that's why the little rollers came off, or???

Also are the rollers (if that's what they're called) still available?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Correction- it's not steel, it seems like aluminum or pot metal.

those are the rollers that are attached to the ends of the arms on the regulator. Yes, they ride on the tracks attached to the bottom of the glass. The bolts that hold the regulator in being all loose, caused it to bind up and pop the rollers off.

Thanks, I figured out the rollers, what worries me is the tab. If I put it back together, will the missing tab cause the window to come off again because the tab guided something or was the lower stop for the window?

I can sell you a nice used regulator and motor, if you want for $40 (I have a passenger side one, too).

Send me a PM if you're interested!

I have just a regulator if you want it, PM me if you want just the regulator. I have both sides if needed. I don't have the motors, already sold them.

The tab is part of the limit stop. There are two on each regulator. One stops the window at the top of the travel and one at the bottom. These stops have a plastic piece where the window presses against them. The part you pictured is the guide that ensures the window stays put at the stop and does not jump it. They are aluminum and are adjustable. Basically, one of yours is broken and the other is probably on it's way out.

Okay thanks guys, now we're getting somewhere. I'll take off the motor and see if I can get the regulator out.
