Default Clutch pedal too light

My clutch pedal used to be light but since I've replace the clutch last week its now very light it just does not feel like a sports car should. The shop that did the work tells me this is the way it should be.
Any comment?

My clutch pedal is light in the cabriolet too.

In the 951 it was brutal, solid. For some reason it got really light in the cabrio. Its also stiffer in my girlfriends 951 was well. Go figger?

You can manually adjust the clutch pedal. Remove the fuseboxand and underneath is a spring that you can adjust. I can't remember what size wrench it was. Most likely a 10mm. It's right by the slave cylinder.

Actually bean is talking about the helper spring. It can be adjusted with a 13mm wrench. Loosen the nut to make the pedal effort increase. You can even remove the helper spring if you want a real heavy pedal feel.

Or try to find a nastier clutch.

I've been in the new 997, Boxster and Cayman and those clutches feel like they weigh 5 tons.

Or be cheap and adjust the nut.

Did you replace the clutch fork when you did the clutch? If your arm was worn enough, it will drag making the pedal a bit stiffer. When replaced, the action is smoother and the pedal might get a bit lighter.

They shouldn't. Those cars have release bearing arm issues, which bind up and make the pedal really stiff. Once they are replaced to the updated part, it gets fairly light.

My clutch pedal got considerably lighter when I replaced my clutch and fork. It gets a little stiffer as time goes on. It shifts like butter though.
