There's plenty of glass shops around Poway :P

And if you need a spare sunroof there's a guy in Escondido who does nothing but modify the 944 family.

I spoke with the local UPS store and they said they felt comfortable packaging it using a box-within-box method, roof and peanuts in one box, then that box inside a bigger box with more peanuts. Should be considerably cheaper than crating. I just plan on dropping it off and letting them do it. Of course the ideal situation is if someone were to pick it up in person.

Thanks for the well wishes on the sale. These usually go well...

Wow. Good Job on the sale. I was watching it on ebay and the final price was over a thousand bucks.

Hey, I noticed that this one had a new, custom made seal. I have the same roof and am looking to replace the seal on it. Any details you can give me on the custom piece?

I have another Saratoga, looks exactly the same as the one pictured on ebay, the grey / non bronze kind, and it comes with an extra seal.
I will sell it for cheaper than the $1000 ebay one, any takers?
It is in Louisville, Ky at my parents house, as far as local pickup is concerned.

Here you go, I apologize, it needed some serious Windex when i took these, there are no scratches, that is just dust and finger prints.

Is that an original Saratoga seal, and would you consider selling it separately?

Spock, I am the second owner of the saratoga and new seal, the seal that is on there works just fine, so I never replaced it, not sure if it is an original replacement piece. I would really rather sell it with the roof though.

The seal looks like a stock Porsche seal for the reguler roof.

What do you guys think a manual Saratoga top in perfect condition would be worth ? I'm going to look at one tommorow morning. And could it be converted to a power one using hardware from a regulat sunroof ?
