SOLD: Manual steering rack with early offset tie rods AKA DEJA VU!
EDIT - Sold To Borys.
This is kind of like deja vu...and i did say i was probably going to resell this. Anyhow after a week of debate ive decided against doing this as my car is my daily driver..and its enough of a chore to drive around town with 3 inches of ground clearance in the front.
I decided i need 968 M030 sway bars and Recaro Pole Positions more.. .
I bought it for $250. The steering rack boots were dry rotted and one ripped, i cut both of them off so you will need these prior to installing. I cleaned it up last weekend and inspected it. The early tie rods are in great shape, no slop on the inner and the tie rod ends are in great shape also, tight with no play. Boots are not ripped or torn. Other than that, it needs to be regreased and is good to go. There is zero play in the input shaft and the teeth on the rack are in excellent shape. I also have the steering shaft but have not looked at it yet (its actually still in the mail). I wont be home until friday afternoon to inspect it but was told it had no play in the U-joints.
I will sell it for $240 shipped...you can get the steering rack boots from Paragon for $5 each.

Borys, i want to sell it quickly so whoever contacts me and sends me the money first gets it.
Ill make you a special deal if you buy it right now though, $230 shipped . That is only for you though and expires when i wake up at 0630 tomorrow. My PayPal account is still the same from when you bought the other stuff from me a few months back.

Congrats Borys, I guess one way or another you were destined to get my rack.
I bet the rack installation will be a lot easier than the rear flares. BTW, have you done this part yet? Curious to know how it went for you. The front is cake no? Are you going all out and getting the proper rocker covers?
Long live the CGT clones!

No I have not done the rear flares yet, I hope I can do them this sunday, but I've been saying that for like two weeks and each time homework has got in the way.
Have you done them? I have A.I.R. flares that have an inner lip that *should* bolt to the existing fenders.
I have not bought rockers or the hood scoop yet. Those are minor cosmetic items so they are last on my list....before paint....

Flares and hood scoop on the way from AIR as I type. I've seen the AIR flares though, a couple years ago, should be pretty simple. I have a couple of good write ups and pics of original cars with the flares and hood scoop off so you can see how it was done at the factory. I'm a research freak so I have been planning my install for a while, gathering all the info on how others have done it.
FYI I think IFC is the only place selling the rockers. Might not be factual but according to websites that is all I could find. For $130 I say it is worth it. I've seen clones without them and they look silly. Hood scoop, that's function not cosmetics, well if you have an intercooler it's function. Just kidding, I'm using a 951 intercooler so my scoop is just cosmetic too, but necessary IMHO.
