Default Introducing Myself(56k beware)

Since I've been posting on here for more and more frequently, I figured I would let everyone know a little about me. Well Porsche has been a part of my life since I was a little kid and my dad got his first 911. When I turned 16, a close family friend, Chris White, convinced my parents that I should get a 944. We found a mint condition 86 944 with 80k miles in desprite need of a new clutch. It was soon on the road and became my summer daily driver. The following year I attended my first Drivers Ed event with trakquest (aka crashquest) at the glen. I've done numerous events at the glen and have traveled to Mosport in Canada. Two years ago I managed to seize the #2 rod going up the esses at the glen, thus ending the 2.5l. Last september I finally sourced a 89 S2 motor and I am currently approaching completion on the engine swap. I figured I would throw in a few pictures for ya'll.

If you're Dick's son (which I assume you are considering the car and the garage ). We met a year or two back at NAPA when I was dropping my car off. Hopefully I'll catch you at a DE this summer.

MPD47: Yeah I remember you and I deffinately remember your car, I've seen alot it and deffinately hoping to get back to some de's

As for the turbo... with chris being around so much it was deffinatly an option, but I have no where near enough cash to do it. Also my dad wouldn't go for it cause he wouldn't like my car to be faster than his 8v 951.

I have a ceramic bathroom.... can I turbocharge it?!

I'd call it the "wastegate".

Welcome!

There is a lot to learn here and of course the humor helps. It looks as if you already know a bit about your car anyway.
