The car is an 86 944. The motor is from an S2.

Also my dad wouldn't go for it cause he wouldn't like my car to be faster than his 8v 951.
So, what are you doing about the trans? Did you source an S2 trans along with the donor motor?

Yeah, the car is an 86 2.5l n/a. It has the "turbo look" front end, and has been equiped with all turbo brakes and rotors, a full coil-over suspension with torsion bar delete and 968 M030 sway bars.
I'm going to use the old 86 trans, i know the internals aren't as strong but i'm hoping the shorter gears will give me better acceleration.

Here's a tip.

Sell that trans now while it is still good for around $300-$400, and then put that money toward an S2 trans.

I can guarandamntee you that 86 944 trans will turn into metal granola in rapid fashion. It's not a matter of "if" it blows, but "how soon". Sell it while you can still get something more for it than scrap metal value.
