Default Door lock agrivation... parts request!

I'll shorten a long story as best as I can. I purchased a 951 project car last November, and have been occassionally putting some hours into it. I bought it with an inop drivers outside door handle. I thought it was going to be the uber-simple plastic clip, but it wasn't. I put it back together, and instead of having a dead-feeling outside handle, it was getting stuck on something, preventing it from working. I went through the door inside and out looking for the cause, and in the process, somehow made the INSIDE handle inop. Now I've checked the actual mechanism from the inside cable, to the release tang, to the striker receiver, and can't figure out why it isn't working.

I'm tossing in the towel. Does anyone have a door lock assembly from the cable-receiver to the striker reciever? it's the pieces inside the door, minus the electric locks kick, as well as the outside piece held in by two bolts (striker reciever). I could now also use a black or red door handle if yall have an extra I could get.

Thanks everybody!
Kevin

I think I have all those bits in my basement, off my replacement door. I'll check tonight.

Not to say you installed it wrong but are you sure that the metal drop link is on the correct side of the white plastic piece to the lock solenoid? If they are crossed, trust me I have done it, then nothing on the freaking door will work. Just a thought

I'm not sure I can exactly picture what you're talking about, Steve... but at this point, I'm not ruling out any possible problem.

It's just 20 degrees outside these days, and I'm really not willing to spend hours investigating it. I just want to get this car done!!

Steve... I'm actually looking for 28 and 29 if anyone has the full inner/outer assembly. Do you have 29 as well?
