Replacing a Power Seat Switch

Default Replacing a Power Seat Switch

I bought a new power seat switch b/c by button broke off. How easy are they replaced ? Do I have to remove the seat ?

Yes. You have to remove the seat so you can get to the wiring underneath.

Seat defenetley needs to be taken out.

Its kind of a pain in the butt, but really not hard at all to do. You first need to slide the switch connector out of the bracket, then pry the cover off the back of the connector. There are four wires going in, each are soldered together so two seperate leads. Remember where each one goes in the connector. You have to do this so you can fish the wires out through the seat, no way to do it otherwise without cutting and re splicing the wires together. You will also need to pull the spade connectors off each of the lifting motors, again remember where each one goes.
