Default knock sensor question

I picked up a new knock sensor (same porsche part number) and it has a different Bosch number on it from the original. It is however, the same Bosch number that Paragon-Products lists for the Knock Sensor. However the original spec is for 270K- 330K Ohms and this new sensor has over 4M ohm resistance.

What affect will this have, if any? Has the original part been supersceeded?

Thanks

I'm interested in the answer to this question. When I switched one out recently, I got one with a little bit of a different shape; I'll have to check the resistance on it. I wonder if it's a problem to mix sensors with different resistances.

I'd also be curious to know how these things work, exactly.

The one with the different shape is the new Bosch number. How is yours appear to be working? Is the car staying out of limp mode?

Cheers
