Very, very, very nice. I love Zermatt silver, especially with a two-tone interior like that.

Please post more pics!

Thanks for all the compliments. Yes - the car is in perfect condition. I am stoked. It is having a 21-year-old Clifford alarm (malfunctioning) removed today, and I am installing a new "Autopage" alarm, which with the addition of solenoids will allow for the doors to be remotely locked and unlocked. Also, if the alarm is set off a pager will ring at my bedside so I can go outside and beat some ***.

Congrats on the new 944. I hope you keep her in that condition as best you can. Older NA's like that are getting harder and harder to find in nice shape like that.

OK, this car was already in mint condition, but not it is perfect in terms of convenience and function. All of the engine maintenance mentioned in the original post is now complemented by a brand new alarm featuring two-way paging and the convenience of added solenoids for unlocking the doors upon the press of a button. Also, I got a Becker "Porsche branded" CDR-220 radio and it is installed and running. New speakers in all the stock locations (old ones were disintegrated from father time) and this car is now an absolute pleasure to own and drive. Probably about as good as it was new.

How does the CDR-220 sound. I have seen both glowing praise and scalding hatred of that radio unit! Post some pics, and good luck with the car. Keep those nice deep-dish phone dials!

The CDR-220 sounds great. I've had full blown "systems" in other cars - and this is not that. But as a radio playing off it's own amplifier through the factory location speakers, it's good. With this car I want a radio / CD player for some of the time, but other times I just roll the windows down and turn it off. That's a nice sound, too.

I'll post some pics later on. It is, by far, better looking than the stock setup.

Default Interior Pictures (including close-up of new Becker CDR-220 head unit) ...

As promised, here are two interior shots of my car with the Becker CDR-220 head unit installed. It looks great and sounds good, too. I also replaced all the speakers in the stock locations.

Nice car. The CDR-220 looks really good, I've been hanging on to an old blaukpunkt reno and running an ipod thru the cassette player just because I cant find anything that looks "right" in the 944.
