Default Good 5pt Rollbar/Roll cage

Hey Guys - Its been a while since i last posted on here, as my car is still in storage. My brother recently contacted me after buying an 78 924 to enter in this race: http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/

We need to get a 5 pt roll bar. Most of the bars i see out there are 4 point. Can someone point me in the direction of a 5 point?

Thanks in advance!
Erich

If you're looking at something cheap, try Autopower. But last I saw their harness bar was completely wrong.

You can also try Stable Energies.

The Stable Energes deals with Safety Devices rollbars / roll cages. They are a little more costly than Autopower - but when it comes to saving money, safety gear shouldn't be the place to do that...

Im pretty sure the rules require a 5 point harness and a 4 point roll bar. It sure looks like fun though.

Safety equipment is not something you want to skimp on. The LeMons organizers allow you to spend money on safety equipment and it doesn't get considered in the cost of the car.

I thought the 5 pt harness and the roll bar will push the car over the $500 limit without buying the car.

If you guys are out near the bay area for prepping the car, I'm sure some of us locals would like to help. Or are you guys bringing the car from ct?

section 3 of the rules lists that there is an unlimited budget allowed for safety equipment which includes: roll cage, seat, harness, fire extinguisher, helmet, racing suit, lexan windows (no glass). In section 4.2 they note that tires, brakes, and wheels are also considered safety equipment and thus no spending limit there too!

Yeah, that pissed off all the other contestants when car and driver spent a bunch of money on some new wheels and tires.
