C-2 wheels for a 944 n/a
I'm thinking about changing the wheels on my 944. Right now I have 15" phone dials. I want to get 16" C-2 5 spokes. Is there anyone out there who has made this change? If so, How much do they usually sell for? Is there anything I should know before I make this change?

Are you talking about the fat 5-spokes or the skinny 968 ones? Ive got two sets of them. The first set i got for $350 shipped, the other set for $450 shipped. I got real lucky on both deals. I would expect to pay about $500-600 for a good set normally.
What year is your car? You may need to run spacers if your car is '86 or older.

The ones I want are the fat 993 5-spokes. My car is a 1989. This is what I am currently looking at:

Right now I run 15x7 early offset 23.3mm Phone Dials with 225/50/15 Toyo RA1 for the track and it fits alot nicer than my stock 15x7 52.3mm phone dials because it is closer to the fender wells. Does not stick out and does not rub at all.
For the street, I have 2 sets of wheels. One set are Antera wheels 17x8.5 +47 front with 245/45/17 Sumitomo HTRZ tires and the rears are 17x10 +50 with 275/40/17 tires. These fit perfectly without any spacers and is almost right out to the edge of the fenders.
My other street set is the early 16x7 and 16x8 Phone Dials with 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 tires. I do get an ever so slight rub on the rear tires when I hit a big dip on the freeway. Might need to roll the fender lips in just a little. Maybe a different tire will do the trick since all tires vary in width even though they are listed as the same size.
I will probably sell my Antera wheelset because I don't need so many sitting around. I just picked up a set of 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs wheels which I haven't decided if I am going to keep or sell. I am kind of in a rut for tire sizes and might have to run a 225/50/15 for both the fronts and the rears even though they are staggered sizes. The rears are even further out than the 16x8 23.3mm Phone Dials so unless my tire is a smaller diameter, I might chew up my fenders.
If anyone needs to see pictures of how these wheels look on a 1988 944, please e-mail me at litespeeds@hotmail.com and I can send you some pictures. Oh by the way, the picture link that you listed is the skinny 968 wheels if I am not mistaken.

If you are referring to the 16" 993 wheels, this would be it:

I will be putting them on my '89 S2 shortly. 7" front and 9" rear.
fronts have the same offset as the D90's - 52mm.
But the rears are 70mm, so they will go on with 1" spacers ...
If anyone here has 993 16' on, i would like to hear their opinion.
