i am not the power that be so i just go along with the rules. anyone want a set of 17" 7 &9 set of cup 1s with pilot sports that have a lot of meat left on them?
i think i will sell the mille miglias and put the d90s from the s2 on the car. just a little leary of 225s in the back with all the power the car is supposed to be putting out.

That comment has been on the Metro NY form for years. It really just refers to "immitation porsche wheels", not all aftermarket wheels. I suspect they added it in the days when cheapo aftermarket fuchs made in Asia that had a reputation for breaking were common.
I've always wondered whether they still enforce it for replicas of the cast wheels. I would think that the Mille Miglia wheels, being TUV approved, should be no less acceptable then any other reasonable quality aftermarket wheel. You might want to check with Andy Spray or John Mingst before you ditch them -- there are certainly plenty of cars in Metro NY that run on replicas. That said, once you use up the tires, you may as well ditch them as they are very heavy.
